Franklin D. Wright, D.M.D. is a native of Cincinnati. He attended Anderson Senior High School where he graduated in 1976. He attended the University of Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Science- Biology (BS) degree in 1980 from the College of Arts and Sciences and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1984 from the College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he returned to Cincinnati, where he has practiced Family Dentistry continuously since. Dr. Wright is a member of the Cincinnati Dental Society (CDS), the Ohio Dental Association (ODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). He is the chairman of the ODA Forensic Dental Team and a member of the CDS Council. When not providing patient care, Dr. Wright can be found practicing forensic dentistry. He is a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology (ASFO), a diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Odontology (ABFO) and a fellow in the American Academy of Forensic Sciences- Odontology Section (AAFS). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the ABFO and is the Section Secretary of the AAFS. He has previously served on the Board of Governors of the AFSO and as the AAFS Section Program Chairman. He is the Forensic Dental Consultant for the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office and is a member of the Disaster Committee at the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport. Dr. Wright was also appointed to the State of Ohio Dental Board in 2004. Dr. Wright has lectured throughout the US and abroad on forensic dentistry. He has also published extensively in the field of forensic dentistry. When out of the office, Dr. Wright can be found playing golf, coaching his children in baseball, softball and basketball as well as watching high school and collegiate football. He also enjoys spending time researching in the area of bitemark evidence collection and analysis, both the traditional and high tech approaches.
